BCM-240: Fundamentals of Business Continuity Management with SS540

BCM-240 is a 1.5 day foundation course with a 50 multiple choice question examination on the last day. Each candidate must achieve score of 75% or higher in the examination to be awarded the BC Certified Planner (BCCP) Certification. This course basically covers the framework and guidelines of BCM Singapore Standard SS540 and fundamentals of business continuity management. It is designed and developed for risk and compliances, human resources, department representatives, business unit coordinators and organizational BC managers and planners whom are new or involved in implementing the SS540 initiatives or business/service providers. This course is also a pre-requisite module for professionals and practitioners who intend to further establish themselves in BCM and DRP by pursuing higher-level certifications.

Note: BCM-240 is only available in Singapore.

BCM-354: Implementing Business Continuity Management with SS540

BCM-354 is a 3.5 days, comprises of 1 day BCM-240 and 4 half days workshop. This intermediated course includes a 50 multiple choice question examination on the last day. Each candidate must achieve score of 75% or higher in the examination to be awarded the BC Certified Planner (BCCP) Certification. This course establish a basic understanding of the SS540 Singapore BCM Standard, the BCM framework, policies, guidelines, the BC planning methodology and the other national standards and best practices. It is designed and developed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators and organizational BC managers and planners to prepare the organization to be SS540 certified.

BCM-8040 (formerly known as BCM-840): Auditing BCM With SS540

BCM-840 (formerly known as BCM-840) is a 3.5 day intermitted level auditing business continuity management course with a 50 multiple choice question examination on the last day. Each candidate must achieve a score of 75% or higher to be eligible to apply for the BC Certified Planner (BCCP) Certification. This course provides the Internal Audit framework that enables companies in Singapore to develop and enhance their audit capabilities to help meet this BCM readiness using the new SS540:2008 standard. This is primarily achieved through the equipping of internal auditors with the requisite skills, tools & knowledge to plan control and eventually lead BCM-related audits in accordance with the requirements of Singapore’s National BCM Standard - SS 540:2008.

BCM-8540 (formerly known as BCM-8040): SS540 BCM Lead Auditor

BCM-8040 (formerly known as BCM-8040)  is an advanced level Business Continuity Management (BCM) Audit course with a 150-Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based examination, following the successful completion of the course. This workshop is primarily designed for system auditor and /or lead auditor to conduct assessments based on the SS540:2008 Business Continuity Management Standard. As a qualified BCM Auditor or Lead Auditor, he or she is to decide on behalf of the client/s on the compliance and effectiveness of the audited organisation’s business continuity management system in meeting SS540:2008 requirements.  Participants who successfully clear the certification workshop on the morning of the 5th day will be able to apply for certification as Business Continuity Certified Lead Auditor (BCCLA).

Business Continuity Certified Lead Auditor (BCCLA) Certification is awarded to participants who successfully completed their BCCLA examination, with verifications of the participant's experience by BCM Institute.
