Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS)

The Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) certification is designed and developed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery managers and planners. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills and knowledge of business impact analysis, risk analysis, testing and exercising, and keeping BC plans current. Candidates will also be introduced to the key concepts of developing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, design and implementation of BC plans, preparing and conducting awareness and training programs. The pre-requisite course to apply for the BCCS certification is the BCM-300: Implementing Business Continuity Management (BCM) course. |
To apply for your BCCS credential, you should have at least 2 years of Business Continuity Management (BCM) professional experience and has the ability to describe the implemention and your role in at least 3 of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)
How to Certify
To become a BCCS certified professional, a candidate must successfully complete three separate processes: Formal Education (attend and complete the BCM-300 course), Examination (attempt and pass the Qualifying BCCS examination), show proof of at least 2-years of verifiable BC experience and make payment of SGD75 (non refundable) application processing fee.
Formal Education
To attend the BCM-300: Implementing BCM (duration 2.5 days including half-day examination), a candidate must:
- Sign up for the course date and location
- Submit the Course Fees
- Be assigned with a login credentials for the online final examination
- Sit for the examination at the end of the course
Examination
To Sit for the Examination, a candidate must:
- Be competent in the Competency Level 1:Foundation and 2:Intermediate (BC) including the 7 BCM Body of Knowledge (BCMBoK)
- Attempt the online practice quiz at least once
Certification
To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:
- Pass the BCCS qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 100- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Submit a non refundable Application Processing Fee
- Submit the Certification Application Form
- Describe 3 or more domains of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)
- Select two references for each BoK* (references may be repeated for all 3 domains)

Fee Payment
- Application Processing Fee: SGD75. (Not included in course fees and non-refundable even if the application is rejected)
- Annual Maintenance Fee: SGD75 (Applicable after your first year of certification)
Additional Information
An e-certificate will be issued for all successful application. However, a hardcopy certificate is also available upon request from the online store: SGD 50
