First Malaysian to Receive Dual BCM Institute’s Certification

my 02[ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 1 December 2009] Mr Woo Yuen Seng from Prudential Services Asia has not only made history for BCM institute in Malaysia, but set a major milestone, by being, the first Malaysian to First_Malaysian_to_recieve_Dual_Certification_from_BCM_Institutesuccessfully complete the two certification examinations for both Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) and Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE).

Yuen Seng’s last DRCE certification application was reviewed and only approved last week by the Certification review Committee and according to Mr William Ho, BCM Institute’s Chairperson of Certification Review Committee, “It is indeed a major milestone for BCM institute in Malaysia.” William highlighted that “The aspiration to hold dual busness continuity and disaster recovery certification indicate a level of maturity for professionals in Malaysia. It demonstrates senior executives' acceptance of BCM Institute’s certification.”

Once again, from the BCM Institute team, we would like to congratulate Yuen Seng for his achievement.

BCM Institute & UN Speakers Champion Humawealth Program

ar_banner SINGAPORE, 3 September 2010 - GCEL or The Global Coalition for Efficient Logistics, the Geneva-based non-profit organisation made up of public-private partnership of organisations, NGOs and governments, is hosting a Humawealth Genesis Awareness Program here. World renowned for its Humawealth Program which aims to solve the problem of a highly inefficient logistics industry, has requested speakers hailing from the United Nations namely, Mr David Morrison, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Capital Development Fund as well as BCM Institute’s President Dr Goh Moh Heng for this event. Dr Goh will be addressing an exclusive, by-invitation-only, audience of high ranking officers from government and international organisations on the 9th September 2010, 2.30pm to 5.30pm at the Fullerton Hotel, on the need to enhance disaster recovery procedures for the logistics industry.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Strategies Seminar

flag_singapore meet-the-expertscollage3[Singapore, 23 October 2009] BCM Institute had once again organized another of its successful Meet-The-Expert (MTE) event which drew the support of more than 120 Information Technology, Information Security and senior management.   These professionals comes from the varied industries to gather at the Holiday Inn Atrium for an afternoon of informative sharing and technology updating session.  The theme is “Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Strategies.”  This is the second time that the institute had organized an IT disaster recovery theme talk of which, 75% of the participants who had registered are attending our MTE for the first time and they are not our certified members.  This seminar is to bring the real life experiences and practicalities of implementing disaster recovery strategies that is taught as part of the institute's DRP-5000 course.
