Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE)

The Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) certification is designed for IT Disaster Recovery managers, planners, and project managers. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills in higher level activities and tasks; this includes DR program management; media handling; raising business awareness; crisis coordination and escalation management; coordination with external agencies. Many of these tasks demand a higher level of maturity and experience; that are likely to be possessed by professionals supporting, implementing and managing organization-wide programs. A professional with Expert status will be expected to have the skills to maintain awareness of IT DRP and BCM issues, and keep current with IT DRP and BCM practices as they evolve in the future. The pre-requisite course to obtain a DRCE certification is the DRP-400: Managing IT Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) or DRP-5000: Implementing and Managing IT Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) course. |
To apply for your DRCE credential, you should show proof of at least 3 years Disaster Recovery (DR) professional experience and has the ability to describe your implementation and role of at least 5 or more domains of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK).
How to Certify
To become a DRCE certified professional, a candidate must successfully complete three separate processes: Formal Education (attend and complete a DRP400 or DRP5000 course), Examination (pass the Qualifying DRCE examination), show proof of 3-years of verifiable DR experience and make payment of SGD150 (non refundable) application processing fee.
Formal Education
To attend the DRP-400: Managing IT Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) course (duration 2.5 days including half-day examination) or DRP-5000: Implementing and Managing IT Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) course (duration 4.5 days including half-day examination), a candidate must:
- Sign up for the course date and location
- Submit the Course Fees
- Be assigned with a login credentials for the online final examination
- Sit for the examination at the end of the course
Examination
To Sit for the Examination, a candidate must:
- Prepare Competency Level 1:Foundation, 4:Intermediate (DR) and 5:Advanced (DR) including the 7 BCM Body of Knowledge (BCMBoK)
- Prepare with the online practice questions
Certification
To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:
- Pass the DRCE qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 150- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Submit the Application Processing Fee
- Submit the Certification Application Form
- Describe 5 or more domains of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)
- Select two references for each BoK

Fee Payment
- Application Processing Fee: SGD150. (Not included in course fees and non-refundable even if the application is rejected)
- Annual Maintenance Fee: SGD150 (Payable after your first year of certification)

An e-certificate will be issued for all successful application. However, a hardcopy certificate is also available upon request from the online store: SGD 50
