Course Objectives
This course will provide participants with the concept and knowledge, which will enable them to:
- Identify the threats that affect the IT and business environment and its countermeasures.
- Have a thorough understanding of the BCM & DR Planning Methodology.
- Conduct an application impact analysis for an organization.
- Develop and implement business and IT recovery strategies.
- Conduct cost benefit analysis for strategies and alternate site selection.
- Consolidate and implement a comprehensive IT DR plan.
- Create and develop IT DR awareness and training program.
- Conduct exercises and tests.
- Integrate business continuity with the IT DR initiatives.
- Sustain an effective organisation-wide IT DR program.

Conditions for Award of Certification
- Completed their DRCE Qualifying examination.
- Have at least 3 years of DR industry experience.
- Submitted their application for DRCE certification with explanation of 5 BCM BOK experiences.
- Furnish BCM Institute's certification unit with the application processing fees of SGD150.
- Verified and awarded by the certification review committee.
Audience
- Participants should possess at least one year of IT or related experience especially in the area of IT disaster recovery. (Participants who are new to BC or with less than one year of BC experience will be awarded the Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) certificate while those with more than 1 year but less than 3 years experience may apply for the Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS) )
- Experienced professionals with 3 years or more experience, from the security, risk management, facility, IT security, business operations who have direct or indirect responsibilities are encouraged to attend and apply for their Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) certification.

Course Fee
- Singapore: SGD 3,850 - CITREP Endorsed, Supports up to 50% funding of course/exam fees.
- Malaysia: MYR 9,100 (HRDF funded to MYR 5,000) of course and exam fees.
- China: RMB 19,250 for course and examination fee (excluding tax).
- This course fee does not include application processing fee for the DRCE certification.
Administration and Pre-course Information
- This is a four day course, with an extra ½ day ( 3 ½ hour) for DRCE certification examination.
- Learn how to prepare for this course by having a good understanding of all the terms found in Competency Level (CL): CL 1, CL 4 and CL 5.
- Upon confirmation of payment, the candidate will be provided a 30 questions practice examination.

Upon completion of the course, the participant will:
Have a thorough understanding of the BCM & DR Planning Methodology and the plan development and maintenance process
Be familiar with the proven method of developing DR plans including preparation and documentation of IT DR plans Course Benefits The DRP-5000 is a fast paced course, designed for individuals who are experienced in IT or business continuity or DR planning.
This compressed course leads participants through the entire BC & DR planning process focusing on IT disaster recovery planning and project management. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and meet with some of the most experienced IT DR professionals within the region. Certification DR Certified Expert (DRCE) Certification is awarded to participants who successfully complete their DRCE examination and upon verifications of the participants experience by BCM Institute. Audience Participants should possess at least one year of IT or related experience especially in the area of IT disaster recovery.
Participants who do not have the necessary experience but would like to undergo a comprehensive DR training may also attend. They are expected to be awarded with a lower level certification, Disaster Recovery Certified Speciliat or DRCS should they successfully complete the DRCE exam. Once they have acquire the necessary experience, they can proceed to upgrade to DRCE without re-taking the examination.
