BCM Institute Thailand together with IBM will host the first complimentary Meet-the-Experts seminar to address the Challenges and Best Practices Businesses can adopt for Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery.

[Bangkok, Thailand, 4 February 2010] It is a general practice for organisations operating within Thailand to have an IT Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan already in place. However, in view of the recent occurrence of natural disaster and new threats, companies will want to re-think their plans and heighten level of preparedness in terms of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. The seminar "Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR): Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices" will take place on 5 March 2010 at Intercontinental Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

At the seminar, speakers, which includes Mr. Patrick G. Corcoran, Global Business Development Executive, Business Continuity & Resiliency Services, IBM Global Technology Services and Dr Goh Moh Heng, President, BCM Institute, will share their experiences from recent and past disasters highlighting the key success factors and provides insights of a successful BC or IT DR plans. Participants will also have the opportunities to raise questions and interact with the speakers on the various aspects of implementing and managing BC and IT DR plan during the panel discussion.

About Meet-the-Experts
Meet-The-Expert or MTE seminar is a complimentary half-day event to encourage knowledge sharing amongst the industry professionals within a specific country. The MTE seminar aims to address both the business and technical issues surrounding the Business Continuity Management (BCM) and disaster recovery planning process. To facilitate a fruitful dialogue, Subject Matter Experts are invited to present their views, followed by discussion session at the conclusion of each topic.
