MEETING THE CHALLENGES OF MANAGING BUSINESS CONTINUITY PROJECTS

An exchange of best practices, pitfalls and successes of BCM

The Meet-the-Experts session held on 2 February 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia attracted attendees from various industries including banking/finance and IT, a mix of professionals and novices in BCM.

The seminar focused on one of the major component of BCM Body of Knowledge (BCMBoK) - Project Management. The speakers, Dr Goh Moh Heng and Ms. Chia Siew Khim, presented the topic in a candid manner and shared their own experiences. The presentations highlighted key factors of a successful BC plan, the structure and roles of each member in the Steering Committee. Siew Khim also provided a detailed road map for managing BC plan.

It was an informative session for the participants and many of them left the seminar armed with tips to manage or fine-tune their own BC projects.
