BCM Institute & UN Speakers Champion Humawealth Program

ar_banner SINGAPORE, 3 September 2010 - GCEL or The Global Coalition for Efficient Logistics, the Geneva-based non-profit organisation made up of public-private partnership of organisations, NGOs and governments, is hosting a Humawealth Genesis Awareness Program here. World renowned for its Humawealth Program which aims to solve the problem of a highly inefficient logistics industry, has requested speakers hailing from the United Nations namely, Mr David Morrison, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Capital Development Fund as well as BCM Institute’s President Dr Goh Moh Heng for this event. Dr Goh will be addressing an exclusive, by-invitation-only, audience of high ranking officers from government and international organisations on the 9th September 2010, 2.30pm to 5.30pm at the Fullerton Hotel, on the need to enhance disaster recovery procedures for the logistics industry.


Mr Philip Overmyer, the Chief Executive for the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce form part of the lineup of prominent speakers who will address an audience that includes key decision makers from the Australian Singapore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Association of Banks in Singapore. In line with Singapore taking the number one place in World Bank’s 2007 Logistics Performance Index, disaster recovery procedures will come to the fore with Dr Goh’s address on the importance of enhancing such procedures to reduce businesses and trading partners’operating costs. Dr Doan Duy Khuong, Chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council will also be sharing with the audience on the need for ASEAN businesses to work together for innovation.

Its no mystery however, that Dr Goh, who is also sitting on the GCEL Advisor Committee along with formidable decision makers such as the likes of Tan Sri Rafidah Binti Abdul Aziz, who served as Minister of International Trade and Industry from 1987 to 2008 for the Malaysian government. “It is a wonderful opportunity to be working with a strong community in Europe that has an interest in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery but what is most important is that BCM Institute is a bridge-builder, making inroads into various industries, where BC-DR is the engine for growth and efficiency", shared Dr Goh.
