Bangkok, 29 September 2010 - As part of its 25 year celebrations, Metro Systems Corporation Public Company Limited (MSC) invited distinguished speakers from leading BC-DR professionals in Thailand including BCM Institute Thailand's Country Manager, Mr Khun Choochai Mongkolkitikul in a 2-day technology update seminar. Held over at the Villa Thongbura, the speakers at the packed event included Cisco Systems’ sharing on Enabling Cloud Technology with Cisco UCS. Representatives from leading disaster recovery solution providers in Thailand also shared on data duplication; making virtual machines cloud-ready, data duplication, alternate sites and the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to enable disaster recovery. During the question and answer session, participants raised questions on difficulty to get management buy-in in the BCM program.

Mr Khun Choochai shared tips to get Executive management’s involvement and commitment. Mr Choochai also highlighted these 4 factors to ensure the continued success of the BCM Program. This includes the appointment of department representatives with appropriate authority; a good BCM awareness in the organisation;a Project Manager with a mandate; strong Project Management skills due to tight deadlines and a focussed approach.
