[Singapore 11 January 2010] BCM Institute, the global business continuity and disaster recovery education and certification institute, announced today that the World Continuity Congress Singapore 2010 will be held on March 9, 2010 at Holiday Inn Atrium, Singapore. This is followed by 2-day Master Classes from March 10 to 11, 2010. World Continuity Congress Singapore 2010: "Be prepared for New Disaster", will combine educational sessions with case studies, focused on helping organisations achieve higher level of business continuity and disaster recovery preparedness when managing a natural disaster.

This event builds upon the success of last year's World Continuity Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which attracted more than 200 business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management professionals and senior management. In 2010, the World Continuity Congress will kick-start in Singapore, followed by cities like Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila, Bandar Seri Bagawan and Sydney.

Steve Sobak, Chair of BCM Institute Advisory Council said "I was overwhelmed and encouraged by the response in spite of the Congress being held during the peak of the H1N1 Flu Pandemic Outbreak in Malaysia. The willingness to learn more about business continuity and disaster recovery has become more motivating than the fear of the outbreak."

World Continuity Congress will feature more than 16 C.E.H certified educational session on topics like managing business continuity during a disaster such as floods and earthquakes, enterprise risk management and business continuity, the current H1N1 situation and the next pandemic, as well as crisis communication. Three Master Classes will be held after the conference. Upon successful completion of the qualifying examination for the BCM-300 level and DRP-300 level courses, the participants will be awarded the Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) or Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS). The auditing course will lead participants to achieve their Business Continuity Certified Auditor (BCCA) certification. The conference also provision for experience professionals to learn about auditing BCM and also crisis management.
