Crisis Communication Certified Specialist (CCCS)

cccsThe Crisis Communication Certified Specialist (CCCS) certification is designed and developed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Business Continuity Management (including crisis management, IT disaster recovery) managers and planners who had added responsibilities to lead or support the crisis communication effort during a crisis. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills and knowledge to identify the crisis scenarios, the communication strategy to be deployed.  It also includes testing and exercising and keeping CC plans current. Candidates will also be introduced to the key concepts of developing CC strategies, design and implementation of CC plans, preparing and conducting awareness and training programs.

The pre-requisite course is:

  • CC-300: Crisis Communication Implementer course.

To apply for your CCCS credential, you should have at least one year of Crisis Communication (CC) professional experience and can describe the implementation and your role in at least 3 of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)

How to be Certified

To become a CCCS certified professional, a candidate must successfully complete four separate processes:

  • Formal Education (attend and complete the CC-300: CC Implementer course)
  • Examination (attempt and pass the Qualifying CCCS examination)
  • Show proof of at least one year of verifiable CC/CM/BC experience
  • Make a payment of SGD 75 (non-refundable) application processing fee.

Formal Education

To attend the CC-300: Crisis Communication Implementer (duration 2.5 days including half-day examination), a candidate must:

  • Sign up for the course date and location
  • Submit the Course Fees
  • Be assigned with a login credential for the online final examination
  • Sit for the examination at the end of the course
