A joint initiative by BCM Institute and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA). This is the first in a three part series WSQ BCM workshops. Participants who complete the three part series will be able to achieve a Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) certification*.

The workshop covers assessing the inter-dependencies that can affect a business unit, analysing and quantifying the impact of internal and external influencing factors and reporting findings of risk factors and their impact as well as recommending solutions and / or mitigating strategies to relevant stakeholders.

* Completion of all three workshops with a $200 Qualifying BCCS examination fees.

The Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) certification is awarded to participants who successfully completed the three part series.

  • To train participants to analyse organisation’s dependencies that may impact on the organization and an individual’s work role.

Course Description

The BCM-400 ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Manager or BCM-400 ISO 22301 BCMS Manager course is an advanced level course designed to equip participants to with an in depth knowledge on how to implement, manage and maintain a maturing BCM plan and team. It is a follow up course to the BCM-300 ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management system Implementer course.

Pre-Requisite Course: BCM-300: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Implementer course

Certification

Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) Certification is awarded to participants who have successfully passed their Qualifying BCCE examination. An application form detailing their 3 years of Business Continuity experience would need to be submitted along with the SGD150 application processing fees. Only those deemed to have the necessary and relevant experience would be granted the certificate. Certifications are awarded by an independent group of BCM Institute certification assessors.

Examination

This course incorporates a 150-Multiple Choice Question electronic exam on the next day. The duration of examination is 3 and 1/2 hour. Candidates who achieve a passing score of 75% or higher are eligible to apply for the BCM Institute’s Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) accreditation.

The course fees includes 1 Qualifying BCCE examination and 1 Qualifying BCCE re-examination.

  • MYR 4,680 nett (only for Malaysian citizen taking the course in Singapore)

This course fee does not include the application processing fee for the BCCE certification.

BCM-300 is a 2-day intermediate course with an two and half hour 100-Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based examination, following the successful completion of the course.

Certification

Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) Certification is awarded to participants who successfully complete their BCCS examination, with verifications of the participant’s experience by Certification Committee of BCM institute.

Objectives

Attending the course will provide the participants with the pertinent skills and knowledge, empowering them to:

  • Assist the business head in determining and implementing the BC project and plan.
  • Identify possible threats that may disrupt critical business functions in the business units and organization.
  • Identify and analyze business requirements to recover the business unit’s critical function.
  • Develop effective functional response and recovery plans.
  • Conduct tests and exercises as part of the organizational requirement.
  • Strengthen organisational resiliency to counter major incidents and disasters.

Who Should Attend?

  • This course is designed for Middle Management, Department Representatives, Business Unit BCM Coordinators; BC/DR Managers.

Examination

This course incorporates a 100-Multiple Choice Question electronic exam on the next day. The duration of the examination is 2 and 1/2 hour. Candidates who achieve with a passing score of 75% or higher are eligible to apply for the BCM Institute’s Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) accreditation. The examination fee is included as part of the course fee.

BCM-400 is a 2-day advanced level Business Continuity Management (BCM) course with an addition of 3 and 1/2 hour 150-Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based examination, following the successful completion of the course. It is primarily designed and developed to instil detailed concepts and knowledge in BCM practitioners, which will enable the individual to drive BCM programmes and BC projects for the entire organisation. This course is structured to develop and train Organization BCM Coordinator, BC managers, planners, and project managers.

NOTE: It is a pre-requisite for participants to complete the BCM-300: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Implementer course before enrolling for the BCM-400: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Manager course.

Certification

Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) Certification is awarded to participants who successfully completed their BCCE examination, with verification of the participant’s experience by BCM Institute.
